The Simpsons! MAC 25th Anniversary Collection.

So I posted this was coming out a while ago on my beauty page (Facebook.com/IAmAMakeupJunkieDiva). The Simpson are a huge part of pop culture and MAC chose to celebrate the one and only Marge Simpson.  I grew up watching the Simpsons and lol I still do sometime. I first heard or for better terms read about the line from other blog post and may have even heard about it during comic con. MAC did a great job creating a buzz about it. Then the text came and email. August 28th was the big day, with a in store release date of Sept 4th.

The line included 2 shadow palettes, 2 blushes, 4 lip glasses, lashes, and nail stickers. The packaging is that iconic yellow color with Marge's blue bee hive. The minute I knew it was coming out I kept watch of the site. Trust me when collections come out you have to act fast. I have missed out on a few but I definitely was not missing out on this one. The Morning of I got the email and immediately ordered two of the lip glasses and then on the 4th ordered one of the quads. Here is what I got.

I absolutely love the colors that I purchased. My quad came today. I have had the lip glasses for a little while. The quad is Marge's Extra Ingredients($44) and the lip glasses from left to right, Itchy & Scratchy & Sexy and Red Blazer($16 each). So I definite swatched them for you divas.

This is a beautiful purple shade(loving the purples so I had to have it).

Red blazer is a fushia shade( pic not the best representation).

The Quad swatches from bottome to top, Harpooned heart (pink color), Sexy PB&J (purple), Beehive Blue (blue) and Vivacious Vaccum Cleaner Bag (it looks like a dark blue almost black).

 

I have got to say MAC did a great job with this line. I love what I purchased. I can't wait to set this up in my makeup space once we move and settle in. I only wish I had purchased the pumpkin lip glass shade and one of the blushes although I am still experimenting with wearing blush. If you still have a opportunity to get this I would say get it. Can't wait to try my quad out to creat some great looks.  Anyway my lovely Divas that's all for now. Stay tuned I may just have a review coming of Rhianna2 Viva Glam lipstick and lip glass. Going, going,.......

So I told you I wasn't really done with this months haul. I still have about another week so we will see. What I did just get from MAC (I am a MAC makeup lover) was from the Lourde collection, Pure Heroine. It is a limited edition shade. You are probably saying Diva this isn't new. I know but it was something I said I could wait and buy because they will have it. It wasn't sold out so I had time. Besides I have the original heroine. 

Here they are together. The original on the right. I love, love, love this color. The difference in the two would have to be not only the feel but the look.

Here are the swatches. Can you see the difference? On the bottom is the pure heroine and on top is the original heroine which is more of a matte lipstick compared to the pure which has more of a shine. It goes on so nice and is so vibrant. If you don't have this in your collection I suggest you get it while they have it because once it is gone, it is gone. You will still be able to get the original heroine but why not have choices. Like shoes you can never have to many choices so why not with your lipstick. Anyway Divas I am not promising that is it but this is all for now.
