Holiday Haul Part 2: The Black Friday EDITION

So Black Friday for makeup  was a partial bust. I got a few things but got disappointed on some others. So let's start with what I did get.So of course what would be a Black Friday with out something from MAC. So I only ordered two items. The first in the gold packaging is the Prabal Gurung lip gloss in the color Ultramarine Pink. Now this collection was very pricey I must admit. There are two other lipglasses. There was 3 lipsticks that are now all sold out, eye pencils, eye shadows and more some of which is sold out. The cheapest item in this collection was $20 and the highest priced item was$70. The lipglass that I chose was $30. I loved the gold packaging on this and the color is so pretty.
The second item is the Smoky Black Friday veluxe pearlfusion shadow trio. Now if you are a MAC shopper you know every Black Friday there has been something to compliment the day. This year is the shadow which is a creamy formula whether used wet for for a super boost of color or dry for a more sheer look you will definitely achieve an amazing smoky look. It is still available for $25. I won't say this is a must have item because you can get these shades in cheaper trios but if you are a MAC lover like I am it was a nice addition to my collection of Black Friday items I have purchased.

The next item I purchased on Black Friday was from my second favorite; Urban Decay. Yes Divas this set is definitely worth it. If you are looking for something that has a little of everything this is it. Now I will say I wish there was a pop of color in the shadows but before I get to that let me show you what I am talking about.
This is the limited edition Get Naked on the Run palette. This is gorgeous packaging. Great for travel, this has a little bit of everything you need. I do wish it came with a travel size eye potion primer but for the value you get a lot.
So this is the inside of case. You get a perversion mascara, 24/7 eye liner in the shade, a lipgloss in the shade Sesso Naked Lipgloss, 5 eye shadows; Dive, Fix, Resist, Dare, and Stun, a bronzer, blush and highlight. I took this with me last weekend on a trip to South Carolina. It fit in my train case and cut back on some of what I needed. It was a great compliment to my other palettes that I used that weekend. It is now available at Ulta and Sephora for $54 or you can still order it directly from Urban Decay.
So to my on to my disappointment. So I placed a order with ulta. Lorac had put out two palettes that were only exclusive to Ulta for Black Friday. So I go to place my order and one of the palettes sold out before I could place order so I was able to get the other one. Later during the week I get a email that the palette was sold out and they couldn't fill my order even though I had see it was available in my cart and I could purchase. The nice side was Ulta sent me a $20 e-gift card to use. What I did get was these items from NYX.  On the left is Transylvania and on the right is Copenhagen soft matte lip creams.

So my next disappointment came not on Black Friday but on the 4th. So urban decay was putting out a limited edition vice palette that day at 1p.m. So I got a email earlier in the day but you couldn't add the palette to the basket still. So 1 rolls around and I have my phone close by. I was getting ready for the ball at the same time. I went to add the palette and it was sold out.
This was the limited vice palette. 😟 I was so sad I did not get it. Look at those colors. In the end I had a okay haul. So until next time Divas. Stay tuned for more. Check out my video of the haul.

Holiday Haul Part 1

Seasons Greetings my fabolous makeup junkie Divas. I absolutely love the holiday's, but never knew I would love makeup shopping during the holiday's. Omg did I get some great deals. This stuff just so you guys know is pre thanksgiving and pre Black Friday. I will have a separate blog report and video for my Black Friday haul. Let's dive in

So we start with my fav cosmetic company MAC! This is their heirloom collection. When I saw it online I just knew I had to have it and be able to get a piece of this holiday collection. In the box is a makeup bag, mascara, eyeliner and a eyeshadow duo. It's called the plum eye bag. It was $39.50. I believe you can still get this set on the website or even in a MAC store. I also got two lipsticks, a creamesheen and the nude/coral lipgloss set.

The first lipstick is like a dark burgundy color called tribalist(I swatched this in my video). Next to it is a color not new to this collection, it's rebel. Underneath those two is the creamesheen courting chic. It looks like a dark red that gives off purple/blue tones. To the right is the nude/coral set that includes 3 creamesheens and one dazzle glass. The lipsticks were $16 each, creamesheen $22 I believe and the lip set was $35  I absolutely love the colors that I got. Thinking of grabbing more from this collection before it is gone. The creamesheen glosses feel creamy and not sticky. Nice to compliment any holiday look.

Now this was not a holiday item. This palette had been out for a while and I just couldn't get it in store while I was home in NY. Just look at the packaging. It is beautiful and rich. This is the Tamanna dress your face palette from Anastasia of Beverly Hills.

Look at these beautiful colors. So pretty for the fall into winter. I can't wait to try this palette. It is so rich. It is going to be fun. This palette comes with a mirror and a double sided brush.

Of course I had to order from BhCosmetics. This wasn't a holiday sale and none of this is holiday but they had a really good sale. I wish I could have brought this video earlier but by time I got this stuff the sale was over anyway. It had to be one of their really good deals sales. I have to say follow them either on IG or go to the website and sign up for emails. They always have great deals, I got the new forever nude contour, highlight and blush palette, the wild child palette, a 15 piece brush set that came in that beautiful brown and bronze brush fold and I got the 10 piece contour brush set. I have to take them out of the plastic pouch they came in cause it smells horrible but the brushes are great. Nice and soft also.

These are amazing. I got them from colourpop. Now you are probably saying "colourpop who?" Yes Divas! I first heard about this company on YouTube of course. I saw one of platinum_d's videos showing these and liked them so much after I watched I went on to there site and ordered. These have a great color payoff and they are only $5 each. Yes I said it $5 plus they gave me a coupon code just for signing up for emails.
Here are the swatches of the colors that I received. From left to right; leather, feminist, creature and flawless. You do not have to use the pencils with their corresponding lippie stick but they are definitely great with their corresponding color. I love these and the price can't beat it.

So this is a holiday item. I hope many of you caught the video but if you didn't go to TARGET.com now and order this beautiful brush set. I missed the 15 year anniversary set so I was not missing these. I went to target before they put them out and didn't see them. Lol figured they either weren't getting them or they went that fast. So went online and ordered them but went to target again another day for something else and they had them....smh but I digress. The end result is I got my brushes and they are fabulous.

Now this is the last of the haul. These are not holiday. These came out a while ago but I couldn't find them in store. I didn't want to order them but you can if you can't find at your local beauty supply store from ikatehouse.com. There were 12 new colors and I got 7 of them.......
Here are the swatches of the lip paints. As you can see they are well pigmented. From left to right tempt, darling, seduce, whimsical, whisper, peony and gleam. These do not dry matte so if that is your preference these are not for you. At $2.99 a piece they are great if you like a non traditional lipstick. Just toss in your bag and go. Anyway my fab Divas. I hope you enjoyed my haul lol or atleast part one of it. Stay tuned for part 2. In the mean time stay fab.

Urban Decay Vice 3 Review

What can I say about this palette? Lol a whole lot! Diva's I absolutely love this palette. Let's just talk about the packaging. This beautiful hard case is so pretty. The Vice is raised on the case almost like a jewel color. When you open the inside you have a large mirror and then you are treated to all of these amazing colors. This palette offers many shades that can inspire many looks especially for this fall season. There are 20 colors in this palette so there isn't a lack of variety.

Not only do you get all of these colors but the palette includes a dual ended brush for your use. One side to blend and the other side to pat on eyeshadow on your lid. I have to be honest I wasn't crazy about brush in my electric palette but I kind of like this one. I am going to use it a little more as I use this palette.

When you purchase this palette it comes in a makeup bag that you can either keep it in or use for your makeup. This definitely was not a cheap palette. It retails for $60 which is not really bad. If you honestly think about it if you purchased all of these shades it works out to $3 a shadow. So whether you spread it out or do it all at once guess what you spent $60 for all these colors. Now it may not be worth it you or you may say I can find dupes for these colors in a cheaper brand or palette but for $3 a shade I don't know if you could find individually and as good a quality. If I find it though I will bring it to you Divas.

For my over all review of this palette I give this one🌟🌟🌟🌟. I love the payoff interms of colors. There was a variety of colors and the brush in this palette I liked better. It is a little pricey yes. I could have bout a new pair of shoe and a bag or just a new bag for that price, but look at the breakdown of it. If you bout them individually it would be $3 a shadow. It's an investment in your self. It is a great quality for a non MUA.  It is one of my new faves.

Anyway my Diva Junkies hope this inspires you. Check out the video link will be down below. Didn't share the pic of look I did because it didn't look all that great in my opinion but you can check me out on IG: DivasHouseoffab for all my looks and then some. Yall stay fab you know your girl always is.

I am not a makeup artist. I am a makeup junkie who is sharing the opinions of what I like. I purchased this item with my own money and was not paid to say any of this. It was all my own ideas and feeling. πŸ’‹

My Look, My Review: Tyler Perry "Hell Hath No Fury Like A Woman Scorned"

So I am behind with my blogs and had to bring you this review. I got a chance to see a play while I was here and I am so glad I got the opportunity to see "Hell Hath No Fury Like A Woman Scorned" by Tyler Perry.

The play was hilarious and of course with everyone of Tyler Perry's plays there is a message. I know some people who needed to see this one. It starred none other than Love Thy Neighbors character Hattie Mae and boy was she not only hilarious as always she was on point with delievering the message. Also in the show like many others of his plays was Cheryl "Pepsi" Riley. She played the woman who was scorned. She wanted love but in Gods time. When she thought it was her prayers answered it turned out to be for lack of better terms " a wolf in sheep clothing"

I give this play a "Amen" and "Hallelu" in my Tamar Braxton voice. I am so glad that I got the opportunity to see it. It's been years since I had to chance to see a live play. The music was great and the message came across loud and clear. I am telling you if you are fan of Tyler Perry and his work see it when it comes to a city near you.

Now for this look I rocked to the show. You know I had to do a full face beat. I was going to the city and could do nothing less. I am getting better with my technique I think so I have learned to start out with my eyes first and I got to say that is the way to go.

For my eyebrows I used a pencil from NYC cosmetics in dark brown to fill in my already arched brows. Then I followed up with MAC nc42 concealer. It works well to for my highlight. Now I will be honest I took so long to write this blog that I forgot what colors I used from my naked 3 palette but I will say in my transition area I went in with a brown shade and tried to keep my look neutral but sassy. For a liner I used ELF cosmetics liquid liner in black and my lashes are done with Younique 3d lashes

I prime my face with Smashbox photo finish primer and then use MAC nw45 studio finish foundation (I believe that is what it is called. Not looking at the bottle right now). To highlight under my eyes, t-zone, cuspids bow and chin I use my LA girl pro hd concealer and blend that in. For my cheeks I took one the rosey colors from my BhCosmetics glamorous blush palette.

Finally for my lips I used Mac's nightmoth to line my lips then used the new Rhianna viva glam 2 lipstick. I love it and it looked great for fall evening out.

This was definitely a great look for me and I had a great time doing it and a great evening out with my mom and her friend. Hope you guys take my advice and go see the play. In the mean time stay fabulous.

Cooking With Diva

Welcoming to cooking with Diva.
This is the first time I am posting one of my recipes on my blog because I have been asked before how to make it. So let me tell you how to make my favorite breakfast dish.....Spinach and Bacon quiche.

What you will need for this:

1 pack of frozen spinach
1/2 of a red and green pepper
1/2 a yellow onion
1/2 a cup of American cheese yellow or white
4 large eggs
6 slices of thick cut bacon
Pie crust (already made or make your own)
1/2 a tablespoon of parsley
Salt & pepper of seasoning salt to taste

Allow your frozen spinach to defrost the night before or defrost in microwave. Strain out all the water and set aside. Chop up your onion peppers and set aside.

On a slotted backing sheet or a foil lines baking sheet pop your bacon in the oven at 375 and bake until crisp. Once done place on plate lined with paper towel and allow the rest of the access grease to drain.

In a pan sautΓ© onions and peppers together in a litte bit of oil. Just enough to cover the bottom of the pan. Cook the veggies until slightly tender and then add your drained spinach. Season to taste with either your s&p or seasoning salt.

Place your pie crust in pie dish( I like to use a glass one). Bake in oven at 350 but not until golden brown. You basically just want to blind bake your crust. Make sure to take a fork and make little holes all over bottom so that it does not bubble up when baking. Make sure to check it so that it does not get to brown then pull out the oven to allow to cool for a bit.

Once your bacon has drained, chop and then add to veggies. Place in pie shell and spread it evenly on the bottom.

Take your four large eggs and season them. Add parse,y and beat the eggs. You can add a bit of milk just to make it a little fluffy if you like.

Pour your egg mixture over the spinach mixture. Don't worry it will spread thru your spinach mixture. Take your half a cup of cheese, I chose to use white cheddar cheese and spread over the top of filling. You can also take half of the cheese and mix in mixture and then use the rest to top. I have done it both ways.

Bake in oven at 350 or 375 until egg is fully cooked and cheese has melted. Make sure you check it you don't want crust to get to brown that it taste burnt. In the end you will have this final product. Let cool and then you can refrigerator for the next morning or slice right then. I feel like the flavors have time to really set in and it taste great the next day. Slice and heat up, have it with either a cup of coffee or tea and you have the most filing breakfast.

This usually last me the whole week or if shared with my brother when I am home lol maybe till Wednesday depending on when I make it. Otherwise it is filing and has not only your protein but veggies. I hope you give it a try and stay fab!

Face Cleansing Faves and Duds

'So I have been trying some different face cleansing products since I have been here(home in New York) because my stuff is packed up and in storage. I don't wear makeup everyday so I am not a wash, exfoliate and moisturize daily girl. Since I have been here thought I am making a better effort even though I am still not wearing makeup everyday. So let's take a look at the products I have been using.
From left to right we have Garnier clean plus, Freeman's polishing mask, MAC eyeshadow and lipstick remover. Bottom: Simple exfoliating wipes and ELF makeup remover wipes.
These two were a definite fave for me. I will repurchase these again. To start the Garnier clean plus does what it says it will do which for me took care of the shine especially in my t-zone and mattifies my face. I use this one before I do all the stages of doing my makeup. I would suggest a moisturizer after using this whether you wear makeup or not it can leave your face a little dry looking and you don't want ashy face peeping through your makeup.

The Freeman's face polish I use more in the evening while in the shower of just after removing my makeup. This leaves my face nice and smooth. I am not going to lie I do not use everyday because you don't want to over exfoliate your skin. I am so bad with keeping to a regimen. I would recommend this if you are looking for a scrub for your face though. This one feels great.

Now this right here!.....from the moment I tried it I loved this product from MAC lol but what don't I love from MAC. This does the job now for some this might seam pricey $21 for a remover that removes eyeshadow and lipstick might seem like a lot. I still trying to find great two in ones that are cheaper(well I have but I have to order). This does the job for me especially with those matte lipsticks. It doesn't take much either. I love this stuff and needless to say will buy again.

Okay you are probably saying you had a lot of faves wher are the ones you didn't like. Well I had a love hate with these. Let's start with the simple exfoliating wipes. I didn't like how theses felt on my face at all. It felt like I was rubbing moist sand paper on my face. It was just to rough for me. So yeah this isn't one I will be re-buying.
The Elf wipe were okay. They seemed tear easily. That was my one major complaint with these. For $3.00 you don't get a lot of wipes and it takes maybe 3 to fully get everything off your face. I would only buy again as a quick solution otherwise these are not my favorites.

Try for yourself and let me know what you think of these products. In the mean time stay fab Divas. Till next time.

Rhianna Viva Glam 2

It has arrived Divas! If yall didn't know about this now you know. MAC and Rhianna have come together again for a Viva Glam shade. I am excited  about this mauve shade and blue-red frost gloss. The nice part about the Viva Glam collection is100% of the proceeds go towards AIDS benefits.
There it is swatched on my skin. I thought it was worth the try especially for the fall.
I love the packaging of this limited edition shade. I have the first one also. The velvety feel of the tube and the red color sets it apart from all the others in my collection.
Here is the gloss on top of the lipstick which gives it a slightly different look.
Here is the packaging for the gloss. I think this gloss will also look nice even on a purple lipstick. If I test it out with a purple I will be sure to come back and let you Divas know.

If you thought about getting this product but wasn't sure I would say stop in at a MAC store and test it for yourself. You may not feel like the shade is for you. I honestly like the color and if nothing else I bought it for a good cause. The gloss I can definitely say I will wear it with other shades in my collection for that frosty glittery look.
If you were wondering you can still order this from MAC. The lipstick retails for $16 and the gloss $15.

So to follow up from my post earlier this month when I let you know about the Simpsons collection  I ended up going back to get Great Pumpkin. I couldn't get it online which didn't matter because I was in Manhattan anyway. Omg it was awesome just to be done there. I originally went to Macy's on 34th street that has a MAC counter. They didn't have it but the one in Time Square (46th and Broadway which is really on the 7th ave side) had it. They had a whole lot left of the collection.
This shade on my complexion is not to orange. It looks like a nice neutral shade on me in my opinion.
Here is it swatched on my hand. I love this collection. The one thing which I did not say in the video or in my last post was that I was disappointed they did not have lipstick for this collection. Which would have been great but all of us MAC junkies know that would have went quickly. I am glad I was able to get this one so even though there was no lipstick I still give this collection a thumbs up.

Anyway Divas till next time. Hope you found this bit of info informative and inspiring. If nothing else go out try a VIVA glam shade and support the cause. Stay fab Divas.

The Simpsons! MAC 25th Anniversary Collection.

So I posted this was coming out a while ago on my beauty page (Facebook.com/IAmAMakeupJunkieDiva). The Simpson are a huge part of pop culture and MAC chose to celebrate the one and only Marge Simpson.  I grew up watching the Simpsons and lol I still do sometime. I first heard or for better terms read about the line from other blog post and may have even heard about it during comic con. MAC did a great job creating a buzz about it. Then the text came and email. August 28th was the big day, with a in store release date of Sept 4th.

The line included 2 shadow palettes, 2 blushes, 4 lip glasses, lashes, and nail stickers. The packaging is that iconic yellow color with Marge's blue bee hive. The minute I knew it was coming out I kept watch of the site. Trust me when collections come out you have to act fast. I have missed out on a few but I definitely was not missing out on this one. The Morning of I got the email and immediately ordered two of the lip glasses and then on the 4th ordered one of the quads. Here is what I got.

I absolutely love the colors that I purchased. My quad came today. I have had the lip glasses for a little while. The quad is Marge's Extra Ingredients($44) and the lip glasses from left to right, Itchy & Scratchy & Sexy and Red Blazer($16 each). So I definite swatched them for you divas.
This is a beautiful purple shade(loving the purples so I had to have it).
Red blazer is a fushia shade( pic not the best representation).

The Quad swatches from bottome to top, Harpooned heart (pink color), Sexy PB&J (purple), Beehive Blue (blue) and Vivacious Vaccum Cleaner Bag (it looks like a dark blue almost black).

I have got to say MAC did a great job with this line. I love what I purchased. I can't wait to set this up in my makeup space once we move and settle in. I only wish I had purchased the pumpkin lip glass shade and one of the blushes although I am still experimenting with wearing blush. If you still have a opportunity to get this I would say get it. Can't wait to try my quad out to creat some great looks.  Anyway my lovely Divas that's all for now. Stay tuned I may just have a review coming of Rhianna2 Viva Glam lipstick and lip glass. In the meantime stay fab and put your best look forward.

August Haul/Favs

Holla my beautiful Divas.....so this month has been a great month of products purchased. A lot of this stuff I purchased to try and others because I had heard great things and had to have them in my collection. A few things in this months hauls I found in store and was so glad I didn't have to order. Most of this I purchased in SC and boy when I got home to New York I hit the ground running and found what I thought I would have to order. So let's dive right in and take a look at this months haul/ faves. Yes honey's I had some faves in the haul.
So this is everything in a nutshell. I have items from MAC, BhCosmetics, Ulta, Walgreens, Target and beauty supply stores.
I got these from BhCosmetics during one of their many sales. Ladies I love ordering from BhCosmetics. They always have great sales.  The after hours palette was on sale for $9.95 and the glamorous blush palette was a great deal at $7.95. I love the colors is the after hours palette, especially the diamond shades. You have got everything from mattes and shimmers in this palette. You can create day or night looks. The blush palette has 10 amazing shades of blush. I am still playing with the blush palette because I never really use to wear blush but I am still experimenting and trying new products. I am not paid to say any of this just giving you the opinion of a makeup junkie. I am telling you if you are looking for great products and great deals check out BhCosmetics.
Now these finds right here! Honey....let me tell you. I had been interested in trying  L.A Girl pro concealer but I could never find them in stores or local beauty supply stores. The lip paints I would find in stores like kmart until one day I went into one of the local beauty supply's while I was living in Beaufort, SC. I found the different shades but not the one I needed. I was going to order from ikatehouse.com and the price was reasonable but I didn't want to do it for 1 or 2 and pay shipping. So I waited till I came to New York. I figured if I didn't find the shade I wanted (fawn) I would just order a few, well I came home to NY and went to one of my most frequented beauty supply stores I go to when I am here. Well Divas they had the shade and on top of that it was $1 less than ikatehouse or the beauty supply stores in Beaufort. So I picked up two of the fawn.
Now I have talked about the lip paints before and I love them. Nicely pigmented and glossy. You have got the best of both worlds with these. The price isn't bad and the colors like I said amazing. I found them at kmart and beauty supply stores, but if you can't find them check out ikatehouse.com. The pice for for the concealer may be $2.99 some places and on the site. Sometimes you can get on sale for $1.99 online or for that price in beauty supply stores. I use it for highlighting.
Here are the swatches of the lip paints I got. The top shade is blushing and the bottom one is hot mess.

Here was another great beauty supply purchase. Now I had seen other youtubers use this eyeshadow primer so I figured A. you can never have to much primer and B. it's a great price. This primer potion is by Ruby Kisses. You can find in beauty supply stores. I found this it one in Beaufort but while I have been home in NY I have seen it here. It works well to me like the high end ones. My shadow didn't crease and it was great.
The lip pencil is in a purple shade. I use it with some of my purple shades from MAC. The price was great $1.99 I would recommend this brand if you are looking for inexpensive makeup to either get you started on your new journey into makeup or if you are on a budget.
I picked up these from walgreens before I left. I had one already and I liked it so I wanted to try other shades. These I have not tried on yet but I am sure I will soon. While I am here I plan on picking up some more colors. I like the brand and the packaging of this product. They were $3.99 a piece. I will come back with a update about the shades I have and let you know what I really think of them.

Now everyone knows I am a serious MAC junkie. It is honestly I think the first company I ever got lipstick from once I started wearing it. Now don't get me wrong I've used beauty supply ones when I was into wearing black or blue lol blue is my fav color, but when I got serious about it MAC was my first serious brand.
I had a $10 off coupon from Belk so I had been looking at these shades on MAC.com and Belk had them.....yay! So I ordered Show Orchid(on the left) which is a apart of the MAC pro lipstick collection. I love this bright vivid shade. Then along with that color I got Up the Amp (on the right). I have used it more than once since I got it. Love it! Such a cute purple........here I am wearing it this past weekend
I wore it with nightmoth lip liner from MAC. I love this shade point, blank and the period lol. Each shade is $16.00. I have not found dupes yet for the lower end products but when I do you know I will let you know.
These last products are a combo of target and Ulta. The ELF lip exfoliator I got from target for $3.04. You can get it at ELF.com for $3. This is definitely a major fav and I will continue to get this product. It gets a major thumbs up. My lips felt smoother after use. I applied my lip conditioner after use and my lips felt great. It is easy to apply. It looks like a lipstick and you can just glide it on. I would suggest this to anyone especially if you wear lipstick or if you feel like you need to get rid of dry chapped lips so you can moisturize.
Now last months haul had the NYX hd setting powder which was white. I love that too especially during this hot weather. It is light and is sheer when it goes on so works for any complexion. I had been looking for the "set it and for get it" powder and I found it of course at target. It is $9.99 but I like it a lot. It is light like the hd power and sets my makeup very well.
My last purchase was the beauty blender that I got from ulta for $5.99. Now don't get me wrong I like the one I got in my last haul or so and have used it but I wanted to get ones like the pros use so I got this one.
Now this piece right here I found right before the movers came to pack us up. This is another clearly cube acrylic drawer unit. It is 6 drawers that are deeper than my other ones. This is all one unit....yes you read right all one. It was $39.99 at tjmaxx. I was so excited to find this. It is packed up and in storage right now but had to show you guys this. I did see a video on YouTube showing the individual drawers with the dividers. If I find them I will post. From what I saw they are by the same company and each single drawer is $19.99. I plan on looking while I am here to see if I find them.
Well that's all for this month Divas. I got a lot of great stuff this month which many of them are my faves. I hope this has inspired you guys to look at and try some of these. Stay fab!

P.S stay tuned for my review of the Simpsons collection from MAC<3<3<3
