Hello my fabulous Diva Dolls so this week we are not talking about skin care but we are going to talk about some beauty tools that I received from Silanty Beauty via amazon. They sent me their beauty blender and konjac sponge at a discounted rate to review and share with you all. I have never had or used a konjac sponge so when I received it I didn't know what to think of it because it was very hard. The beauty blender looked very similar to the real authentic beauty blender. The real question is was it going to perform as well as the beauty blender.
So the test began. I did squeeze the blender and it was soft but didn't squish down like the original beauty blender so then I decided to wet the one from Silanty. I was very surprised about how well it worked. It did a great job of blending out my highlighted areas. The only thing I didn't like was the tip of the blender was not as pointy as the original beauty blender to get under the eyes or in corner part as well as the original beauty blender. It was not hard like some other sponges that I tried at all. Which was nice to see it performed well. If it had been hard it would have been in the garbage. This sponge is definitely a keeper. I have gotten so much use out of it.
(Here is both blenders side by side. The black it the original beauty blender and the pink is Silanty makeup blender)
My overall impression of the this sponge a 8 out of 10. It does a great job. It blends the makeup out well. It is not hard and does not feel like I need to work extra hard on my face to blend. My only wish is that it was a little more slender at the top like the original beauty blender but it worked very well and I would recommend the sponge. I checked it out more on amazon and did not see that this sponge is sold alone so looks like dolls you can only get it in this set.
My next test was of the Konjac sponge. I have seen these online before but had never used one much less had one of my own until now. Like I said in the beginning when I got it I wasn't sure what to do with it. It was hard like a pumice stone in my opinion. It came with a small little plastic suction cup hook for me to hang it in my shower so I did. I decided to use it in the shower to wash my face with it. I got it wet and it softened up after getting it really saturated. It did a great job of cleaning my face. It was different from using my rotating brush because of course it is electronic and this sponge requires me to do the work to clean my face. It was not abrasive to my face at all. Now would I say this a sponge you need, or need to have. No not really. I didn't find anything special about this sponge. It was an alternative to using a spinning brush to clean your face (clarisonic or any other type like the clarisonic). It comes with the blending sponge so why not use. My ultimate thought is that is should be sold separately from the blending sponge as a option. The set is great together but I felt like I got more use out of the makeup blender than I did this konjac sponge.
The set was $18.99. I did get it for a discounted price as stated in the beginning. Would I buy it again. Honestly no. If they sold the makeup blender by itself I would definitely purchase another one of even two. I would even purchase if they sold it in a two pack or offered a mini size one.
My overall opinions of this set were I didn't have to many complaints about this set. I got a lot of use out of it and I am still using it. If you are interested in trying out the konjac sponge and want the added bonus of getting a blending sponge check out this set on amazon and purchase from this seller. If you have prime then you know you get free two day shipping and can be on your way to #perfectskinin2steps.
That is all for this weeks blog. Check out my video on this set on my yt channel. Link will be listed below. https://youtu.be/J36t8WEm-g8
Hello my Diva's and Divo's so I have another product review from our friends over at Valentia. This time it is there Night Revive Retinol Serum. I did get this for free of course in exchange for my honest review. You guys know I am going to give you my honest opinion always. So letst dive right into this product.
The Night Revive serum packaging gives details of a transformative retinol serum that fights wrinkles and provides hydration to also give you smoother and rejuvenated skin. The listed things that this serum says it will do
are:
diminishes wrinkles
stimulates collagen
improves skin tone
manages breakouts
conditions skin
Some of the ingridents in this serum are:
Retinol (Vitamin A) which works on a cellular level to stop wrinkles from forming, manages breakouts and also evens out skin discoloration.
Vitamin C which boost retinol's protective effects, guards the skin against free- radicals and the damage done to the skin by the environment.
Vitamin E which is great for moisture protection. Vitamin E also aids in hydrating the skin which diminishes the drying effects retinol.
How or when to use you may ask? This product is a night time serum so you would follow your normal routine but before you moisturize you would apply the serum to your face and decollete. If you notice any irritation use every 2-3 days instead of every day. Make sure to use a moisturizer with spf during the day.
You do get 1.18 oz of product in this bottle. It is in their usual packaging but this has a medicine dropper to get just enough product to rub into your skin. This product is not as thick as a cream so a pump would probably be a mess so I like the option of the dropper. This one does not have the color of their other serums nor the smell. It absorbs very well into the skin. I do not use it every night. I haven't experienced any issues with it at all. You definitely have to moisturize after using it because your skin will feel dry after use.
I like this serum. I think it works well and it isn't priced bad either. Would I suggest it and any of Valentia's other products and I would say yes. I have notice from using the products even with all the other things I am trying that my skin looks a lot better than before. A lot of the discoloration is gone and I do not have nearly as much breakouts like I had before.
If you are looking for great skin care that has a luxurious feel to it I will definitely recommend you trying out Valentia. If you aren't fully convinced check out their website to get more information for yourself.

Hello Divas and Divos Welcome back! So this week I am bring you another great product review. Some of you may be no stranger to this product and for some of you, you may be hearing about this for the first time. I received this lovely package from Derma E. These items were sent to me for free for the sole purpose of reviewing. All opinions are my own and not of the company.
If you have never heard of Derma E let me tell you a little bit about this brand. Derma E was founded by David Stern and Dr. Linda Miles D.O.M in 1984 with a commitment to make earth-friendly, skin-friendly skin care. Derma E offers over 80 face and body care items. There products are cruelty free, gmo free, gluten and soy free, and recyclable. Another key important feature to their products they do not contain parabens, phthalates, petrolatum or artificial colors. Derma E believes in Eco Friendly Skin Care. Take a look at this excerpt from the Derma E website.
Choosing Eco-Friendly Natural Skincare By Dr. Linda Miles L. Ac., D.O.M.
DERMA E believes in healthy skin, a healthy world and a healthier environment. We feel that through maintaining environmentally responsible business practices, supporting animal welfare and land conservation programs, and manufacturing eco-friendly, ‘natural’ and ‘organic’ skincare products, we are continuously striving to make the world a better place. To help you strengthen your commitment to the environment every day, here are some factors to consider when purchasing skincare that will help keep both your skin and our earth healthy.
I found this message to be very profound. Not only do they believe in keeping our environment safe but they care about what goes on to our skin and what later goes into our water and trash cans.
I was sent their Day and Night cream that contains Hyaluronic Acid. Lets begin with the Day Crème. The packaging details that the day crème helps "reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkle by replumping skin with moisture." The hyaluronic acid hydrates the skin and keeps it "soft, smooth and youthful looking". The vitamins plus green tea in the crème protects the skin from the every day damage the environment may cause to the skin. The Night time Crème boast details of hydrating your skin while you sleep. It replumps the skin and helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. the night cream also contains the same vitamins and green tea as the day time crème.
Lets talk about the product itself. When looking at both creams and testing the consistency I noticed they were both a nice thick and creamy consistency. I rubbed them in on the back of my hand and noticed that one cream was a little thicker than the other. The day time cream was a great consistency for hydrating during the day but not to heavy to a point where it weighted down your skin. The night time cream in my opinion felt a little thicker and heavier on the skin but I found that to be a great thing. You are probably saying Diva how can that be a good thing? Well when I woke up the next morning my skin felt soft and very moisturized. I did not wake up with dry skin at all. In the past I may have had dry patches on my face in the morning and I feel like using a moisturizer that can hydrate my skin over night is great.
Let's talk about packaging. One of the reasons I was sent this package was to feature their new packaging. Their message is definitely lost in their new packaging. You still get all the important info needed to know about this product from reading the packaging. Their new packaging gives you a little bit more insight into their belief in ethical beauty by showing you what the old packaging just told you. The old packaging in my opinion is nice but I feel like the new packaging of the product was a little more refined and had almost a luxurious look to it. The same thing goes for the jars. Nothing was lost in terms of size. You get 2 oz of product in both. There is no crazy fragrant smell. The smell is not offensive either but I couldn't place my nose on what the scent was. The newer packaging allows you to see better when you are out of product also which is a great feature. It isn't an important factor but it is nice to be able to look at the jar and tell you are almost out versus having to open it up to see if you are almost out.
Derma E can be found at some of our favorite stores such as Target, Ulta, Walgreens, CVS, Whole Foods and Sallys beauty just to name a few. You will begin to notice a change in product packaging which has already begun and will continue to roll out into next year. One thing remains the same about this brand even with the change in packaging. They are committed to remaining a brand that is eco friendly to our environment and most of all our skin. I will definitely be looking into more of their products and trying them for myself. I suggest you Dolls do the same. Let me know in the comments section what are your thoughts or if you have used any of Derma E's products. Till next time Diva Dolls stay Fab!
